During my undergraduate studies at Florida State University, I had the opportunity to intern with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. At the FDEP, I was mentored by Jeff Raley, a professional engineer and Coastal Engineering Project Manager for the Florida State Park System. With over 100 miles of sandy beaches throughout 40 coastal state parks, I assited in the design, management, and permitting processess for coastal construction projects throughout the Florida State Park system. During my internship experience, I was nomintated by Florida State Univeristy for the Cooperative Education and Internship Association's National Academic Internship Award Candidate in 2011.
